Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 5 released - December 28, 2005
A new feature to edit assets as new items. Small icons have been added to the user interface. The e-mail module has been expanded with reply and forward. A new system module to show table sizes. The TinyMCE popup has been moved to an iframe.

Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 4-1 released - December 15, 2005
A small bugfix release: Fixed a bug which prevents users from logging in and changed setup to give a better error message if simple_cache or simple_store are read-only.

Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 4 released - December 15, 2005
The new version contains a new SMTP module and the possibility to use SSL and different ports with IMAP/SMTP. In order to increase performance a caching system for IMAP, RSS, iCalendar, vCard and CSV was added. It also contains some fixes for integrating iCalendar files and an update to the TinyMCE component.

Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 3 released - December 11, 2005
The new release contains the possibility to read mails stored on IMAP accounts. Contacts stored in vCard files can be viewed and imported. Furthermore iCalendar files can now be integrated into Simple Groupware calendar. Also anonymous access can be disabled and recurring appointments can have exclusions. The Simple Groupware Client is now placed in an extra package.

Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 2.2 released - December 2, 2005
A new release with some smaller bugfixes is available: Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 2.2. Support for MySQL 4.0.x has been fixed along with the ability to collapse big folders. Also setup should now work correctly when magic_quotes_gpc is on.

Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 2 is now available. With a new calendar system you can manage all kinds of (recurring) events. Using a revolutionary new view that combines a list of appointments with a day-/week-/month-view makes managing appointments much easier. Additionally there is a new module which allows you to integrate all kinds of news directly into Simple Groupware by using the power of RSS-feeds. Non ISO-8859-x languages can now be used with Simple Groupware featuring full UTF-8 support.
New features/changes (very short): Added complete new calendar system, RSS-reader, fixes for cut/copy/paste, bug fixes.

Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 1 released - October 2, 2005
Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 1 has been released and is available for download. Lots of new features are building the basis for new features, better performance and many more releases. New features/changes (very short): Added folder quotas, rights system, cut/copy/paste, server-based auto-complete, data export to html, csv, xml, xls, unit-testing, slow query logging, faq-module, online/offline status for users, new external searches in sidebar, save/restore tree-position, calendar improvements, option for multiple-files per field, lots of performance improvements, bug fixes.

New Homepage launched - September 29, 2005
The new homepage is online! Seeing how good Wikipedia runs, I got infected by the wiki-syntax. Happily I found a very thin wiki engine called PmWiki. There is no need for a database which makes it a very fast solution for content management. This makes it also much easier to get a consistent backup of the whole system. Although the size of whole system is less than 1 MB, there are many good features like a search engine, access control, versioning, merging pages, file uploads, etc.
Compared to Mambo/Joomla I no longer need to do any html export for achieving better performance or security. This is a tremendous speed-up for my work. Customizing goes much faster due to good code quality and the smaller size. Also a big plus for supporting keyboard shortcuts (very great thing!).
In the future the contents of the Homepage will be updated more frequently and much faster than before.
All in all PmWiki much better fits my needs for a good homepage. Special thanks to Patrick R. Michaud for creating such a good software!
